Fluid-applied Resources

Our team helped a medical manufacturing facility restore an existing metal roof with fluid-applied solutions. We preserved the substrate with an acrylic system in Florida.
This included evaluating the existing performance of the metal substrate, installing a fluid-applied acrylic system, and using proprietary processes. The main purpose of this project was for the customer to bring the surface of their facility back to top performance without the disruption of replacement, and to address existing leak concerns. Timing was also important for this client because they didn’t want to prolong the installation of the new roofing solution.
Conditions
Since we were restoring a medical manufacturing facility’s roof, there was daily employee traffic going in and out of the building. This made it imperative for our team to plan proactively with the customer to ensure there were no major disruptions to daily operations.
Challenges
The primary challenge our team faced while restoring this property was the existing leak concerns. Previously, the customer had been experiencing leaks coming from the skylights on their roof. This was something they actively sought to resolve with the installation of their new fluid-applied system.
The first step was for our team to isolate where these leaks were coming from around the skylights and address them with the proper process. Once our team did this, they communicated the resolution with the customer. The skylight leaks they were once experiencing are now no longer an issue.
Process & System Information
To provide predictable and consistent results, our team used our systematic communication and proprietary fluid-applied installation processes throughout the entire duration of the project. While working on site, our production team had meetings with the customer to ensure they had all pertinent information at each completion stage.
Our team restored the existing metal roof with an acrylic solution. This also resulted in the customer gaining a manufacturer backed 15-year Labor, Material, and Workmanship Warranty.
Timeline
The project took one week to complete and met the customer’s desired timeline.
Outcome & Benefits
This project restored the existing metal roof of a medical product manufacturer with an acrylic solution backed a 15-year Labor, Material, and Workmanship Warranty. Upon the final walk-through, the results showed our team installed the new system to SPEC. There is no doubt the customer received a better solution for their property.

We look forward to continuing to restore with this customer at other properties in the future.
