Restoring a Hospitality Property in Downtown Indianapolis

Published by Eileen Ybarra on October 6, 2025

Our team helped a high-rise hospitality property in downtown Indianapolis restore its existing slanted 20+ story high metal roof. This included evaluating the current condition, installing a new fluid-applied system, and using proprietary processes.

The main purpose of this project was to bring the existing roof back to top performance without the disruption of an entire replacement. This was especially important because of the property’s location and the need to keep operations going as normal. At all times, there could be people coming in and out of the building.

Conditions

The weather conditions during installation were unseasonably hot. However, our team could work around this and still make sure they were hydrated and safe while on-site.

Challenges

Since the property’s existing, slanted metal roof was 20+ stories high in the air. So, there were some technical complexities that our team had to plan for before even beginning to restore the property. This meant taking the time to ensure our on-site team and the customer’s on-site team felt safe and aware of everything going on.

Process & System Information

To provide predictable and consistent results, our team used its systematic communication with the customer to ensure they had all information necessary and our proprietary installation processes to provide the best outcome.

Ultimately, our team restored the existing metal roof with a new fluid-applied roofing system. This resulted in the customer gaining a manufacturer-backed 15-year Labor, Material, and Workmanship Warranty.

Timeline

This project was projected to take 3 days to complete.

Outcome & Benefits

This project restored the existing metal slanted 20+ stories high roof of a downtown hotel in Indianapolis, IN, and resulted in the customer gaining a 15-year Labor, Material, and Workmanship Warranty. Upon the final walk-through, the customer was very pleased with the outcome and the results showed our team installed the new fluid-applied system to SPEC.

There is no doubt the customer got a better solution for their property, needs, and gained extensive long-term value.
