Fluid-applied Resources

For real estate investment companies, property owners, and managers, it’s not just winter, spring, summer, and fall. There is a fifth season: budgeting season.
In this article, our White Hat Industrial team shares how we’re helping clients, and can help you get the most accurate information you need for your budgeting season with our 3 levels of commercial roofing assessments.
The Basic Assessment
Our basic commercial roofing assessment is perfect for all buildings with less complexity and is done remotely. Our team does not visit the site at this level. Prior to contract acceptance, we will always do an on-site visit later.
This option offers a remote satellite assessment for roof size and type, but does not allow us to examine potential moisture conditions or structural damage. When you select our basic assessment, you can expect an estimated project cost within 10-20% of the final contract amount. This will give you a rough number for budgeting and for situations where project timing is still unknown.
Note: For larger-scale, more complex buildings and when you’re buying a property based on a hard roofing budget, this type of assessment may not be the best option.
The Standard Assessment
Our standard commercial roofing assessment is our most commonly used option. It is done with our staff on-site to physically see and examine the condition of the existing roof. While on-site, our team obtains visual indications of roof performance and evaluates potential moisture saturation, while still doing a non-destructive inspection.
If you choose our standard assessment, our team will verify your commercial roof’s candidacy and can assess moisture to 80-90% accuracy. Ultimately, providing you with the information needed to know what options are viable for your property. Additionally, this level of inspection is complete with a thorough photo survey, notes from our inspector, and a project proposal.
The standard assessment is a great choice when you know the roofing project is going to be complete within the next 6-9 months because likely there won’t be major structural changes during that timeframe.
The Premium Assessment
Our premium commercial roofing assessment is ideal for 100% accuracy for all commercial roofs. This option offers an on-site inspection, which includes a thorough photo survey, core cuts, moisture scan, notes from our inspector, and a complete project proposal. With this comprehensive proposal, you can take all the what ifs out of the equation. If you’re planning to purchase a roof based on a hard roofing budget, this can also be a great choice.
When you choose the premium commercial roofing assessment, you can know with 100% accuracy whether your roof is a good candidate for a White Hat Industrial system.
